Ensure that speakers and hosts have adequate water and clean glasses on stage.

Ensure that guests have adequate water before and during the event.

Acquire reusable drinking glasses and water pitchers for your events/ office

How?

Working with caterers.

We are working to ensure that all caterers serving HKU events are aware of

and will be prepared to comply with the policy by July 1, 2017.

Informing the caterer/sponsor in advance about the Policy and ask them to provide reusable drinking glasses/cups/mugs

If the caterer is unable to provide reusable containers please let us know and see above

on acquiring reusable drinking equipment

Ask if caterers provide recyclable containers and bottles when catering so they can be recycled after use. To best facilitate recycling, either have extra dust bins or bags designated and labelled for each type of recyclable or contact the Sustainability Office to seek help in borrowing recycling bins
