Ditch Disposable Commitments

Individuals

  1. Stop buying disposable plastic bottled water 
     

  2. Bring your own reusable bottle and refill it at filtered water dispensers across campus
     

  3. Avoid using disposable take-away containers and utensils by bringing your own reusable container and utensils

Faculties & Departments

  1. Stop buying disposable plastic bottled water of 1 litre or less for office or event use
     

  2. Stop distributing disposable plastic bottled water of 1 litre or less at your events
     

  3. Inform all staff members and students of the faculty/department’s commitment
     

  4. Provide support and guidance to staff members responsible for purchasing goods and event management, to ensure compliance with your Ditch Disposable commitment

Caterers

  1. Stop selling disposable plastic water bottles of 1 litre or less and ensure that no new bottles are ordered
     

  2. Inform all staff members of your Ditch Disposable commitment and ensure their compliance
     

  3. Offer free drinking water to customers or direct them to the closest filtered water dispenser on campus
